Icosahedron

Icosahedron in racing colors

Considered by many to have been perhaps the best pencil racer ever. As a three dimensional symbol, Icosahedron was never able to race with modern two dimensional racers during the ban on complex 3-D racers from racing. X was quoted as saying, "Yes, I once raced Icosahedron in an unsanctioned race. It was just before he died - he was pretty old by then, I think something like 160 years - and he was still able to beat me. I can't imagine how fast he must have been in his prime. I have raced against all the best modern 2-D racers, and Icosahedron was easily as good or better than any of them, even at his age." Because of dimensional barriers, we will never really know how fast Icosahedron was.

QUBORG[]

In addition to being perhaps the best racer of his era, Icosahedron was also a great organizer and pencil race visionary. He created QUBORG, an organization for 3-D racers, which combined many of the small 3-D racing clubs into one International racing consortium. This predated the creation of the IPRC, and though historians have generally overlooked Icosahedron, some consider Icosahedron to be the founder of modern pencil racing. It is unknown what QUBORG stands for, but some speculate it was originally written as QUBOrg, and that it stood for QUB Organization. It is still uncertain what the QUB stood for, and Icosahedron never disclosed it's meaning.
